Computer Lab for Internally Displaced Persons, Mozambique

Construction of a dedicated computer lab with 25 internet-connected computers for the use of internally displaced persons in Cabo Delgado province in Mozambique, providing internet-based learning programmes to better education for both children and adults.

Funded by the generous support of private individuals in Houston, Texas. Gemfields Foundation is now undertaking the construction of a dedicated computer lab with 25 internet-connected computers. The classroom will provide access to internet-based learning programmes for both children and adults who have been displaced from their homes due to violence further north in Mozambique.

The team are currently working on finalising details for the classroom build and purchase of IT equipment. Plans will be shared here and in journal updates as the project progresses.
