The mobile clinics are amongst the most important social investment projects initiated by MRM considering the area they service, the number of communities and therefore the reach achieved in providing essential health services.
As the two mobile clinics are directly covering 9 communities, between February and May 2020 (given part of this period included state of emergency restrictions due to Covid-19) a total of just under 7,500 medical consultations were carried out.
Of these just over half were for immunizations and nearly 40% were appointments for mothers and their children. The remainder were for general health consultations. The mobile clinics therefore continue to be lifeline for many in the rural areas surrounding MRM.
